SCHOLARSHIPS

For students graduating grade 12.

Purpose
Scholarships are available to graduating grade 12 students that are moving on to post-secondary studies in the Arts, including Creative Writing, Dance, Media, Music, Theatre, Visual Art, and Arts Education. Students do not apply to a particular scholarship - the Victoria School Foundation for the Arts reviews all scholarship applications and matches each student to a scholarship that is appropriate for their chosen post-secondary route. Scholarships are awarded to students who show extraordinary skill and potential and who demonstrate clear educational or training goals. The list of scholarships is provided below to share the history of each scholarship, as well as provide background to our amazing donors.

Scholarships may not be awarded in all categories each year and more than one scholarship may be awarded in the same category. Scholarship awards must be used to offset tuition, fees, and other costs incurred as a result of pursuing post secondary education in the performing and visual arts.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:

  • be a permanent resident or citizen of Canada;

  • be a resident of Alberta;

  • be graduating from Victoria School of the Arts; and

  • have applied to or been accepted to a post secondary program in the performing and visual arts.

Application Deadline and Conditions
Applications are due on April 30th annually. Application deadlines are strictly enforced.
