a message from current principal, Brad Burns

Joan was an amazing woman who was always ready to help and stand up for those whose voice was not always heard. Her fierce commitment to actively support students and the greater community was truly inspirational. I was constantly inspired by her humour, her passion and her kindness. She was never afraid to hold one to account when they were trying to sidestep a commitment. She expected the best out of everyone she worked with, while giving her best in every endeavour. Through the busy fundraising years of our foundation's work, Joan was well connected in the community and introduced several of our past and current supporters to our vision. Her legacy in this work will continue to provide students and staff at Victoria School with access to courses, workshops and guest artists for years to come.  

She will be missed but never forgotten.
